Join other hiking enthusiasts in an intense, but short workout. Mission Peak is a peak east of Fremont, California with an elevation of 2,517 ft (767m). We meet at the Stanford Avenue entrance by the picnic table. This is a strenuous hike with a constant uphill climb until you reach the summit. We do not take breaks until we reach the summit. We are a group that quarterly plans 1-2 week overland trips crossing some of Americas most scenic beautiful rural open space areas. These areas are only accessible by heavily modified 4x4 vehicles. Most recently we have been through MOAB Utah, Death Valley, and Mojave Desert. Most members have modified Landcruisers & Land Rovers set up for extended duration away from civilization. Some trips can take us 5+ days from the time we leave the pavement before we see it again.

This is a youth pick up soccer meet-up group in Concord/WC/PH area, planned to begin in March 2013. This group is intended to give children the chance to regularly play soccer just for the fun of it. I'd like this to be a very simple meet-up in which soccer-playing youth -- 5-16-ish age-range, co-ed -- just get together to play soccer, and adults mostly shut up and let them play (while keeping things civil of course).
